Australian miner OZ Minerals has awarded two contracts to GR Engineering Services for design and construction of the mineral processing plant for its 10-12Mtpa West Musgrave nickel-copper project in WA.
The announcement of the contracts come as OZ shareholders vote strongly in favour of its takeover by global giant BHP. The under-development project is seen as a key to BHP’s future nickel growth plans.
Australian vanadium developer TMT has named project partners GR Engineering and Iron Mine Contracting to progress detailed construction planning, scheduling and site establishment work streams on its high-grade Murchison Technology Metals project in WA.
They will work alongside FLSmidth, which has partnered TMT since early 2018 on the project and is positioned to be the key equipment supplier for the plant.

Australian international engineer GR has maintained the strong momentum from last year, posting after-tax profit of $A14.7M for the Dec half (H1FY22), up from $8.5M in the prior period.
