Australian explorer Pacgold is eyeing the potential for high-grade zones extending over a significant vertical depth after posting a bonanza gold intersection of 87g/t over 1.9m at its Alice River project in FNQ.
The new intersection occurs about 160m north of a spectacular 16.4m intersection of visible gold reported by the company this month, for which assay results are pending.
MD Tony Schreck says the bonanza grade is the highest defined by Pacgold to date, part of a continuous high-grade zone from surface to 520m depth.
