Australian construction group Wagners has won a 2-stage contract expected to be worth over $A35M for up to five years to supply up to 1.5Mt of quarry materials for construction of Adani Mining’s 10Mtpa Carmichael thermal coal mine and the 200km narrow-gauge railway that will haul coal from the northern Galilee Basin mine to existing rail networks.
Wagners says it will immediately begin work at an Adani quarry close to the mine site 130km NW of Clermont in Qld, and will deliver road base and ballast material to work areas at the mine site and along the railway route as required.
