Improved grades and gold recoveries have enabled Kazakhstan-focused miner AltynGold to lift its FY2022 production to 34,023oz gold, up from 27,747oz a year earlier and the highest level since operations commenced at the Sekisovskoye mine near the regional centre of Oskemen.
The increase was achieved despite extreme weather conditions that limited Dec qtr (Q4) production, leaving the company to draw on its ore stockpile.
Average grade improved to 2.17g/t (FY2021: 1.97g/t) and gold recovery to 83.3% (83.05%).
AltynGold is accelerating its growth plan driven by an expanded equipment fleet and increased development of transport declines to open deeper horizons.
