Australian contractor Downer has received two letters of award from Adani Mining for EPC works plus operation and maintenance worth about $A680M for the coal handling and preparation plant at the proposed Carmichael coal mine in central Queensland.
The $420M CHPP engineering, procurement and construction contract will be delivered by Downer in JV with POSCO Engineering and Construction Australia. The second contract for operations and maintenance activities by Downer has an estimated $260M value over 5 years, with two 1-year options.
