EMERALD RESOURCES: CAMBODIAN MINE DOUBLES HY PROFIT

 

Phnom Penh, Mar 16

Cambodian miner Emerald Resources has doubled after-tax profit for the Dec half-year (H1FY23) to $A24.8M, from $11.9M a year earlier, on gold production of 52,587oz at AISC of $US809/oz at its Okvau mine, 275km NE of Phnom Penh. Production for the truncated H1FY22 was 36,626oz at $740/oz.
Emerald forecasts FY23 production of 102,000-113,000oz at $740-810/oz.
MD Morgan Hart says Okvau’s operational performance has enabled Emerald to increase exploration programs in Cambodia and on its 60%-owned Australian land package.
