Australian explorer Magnetite Mines continues to open up export logistics options for its 100%-owned Razorback iron ore project in SA, signing a non-binding agreement with leading port operator Flinders Ports. It follows MGT's recent similar agreement with Whyalla Ports.
In addition to Flinders’ seven existing ports along the SA coast, the agreement opens up the option of a greenwater port development capable of directly loading bulk carriers to Capesize capacity at Myponie Point on the Spencer Gulf, about 50km S of Port Pirie.
The studies will assess production of 5-15Mtpa from the 6Bt Razorback resource, about 200km NE of Port Pirie.
