MINERAL COMMODITIES: TORMIN GROWS WITH MAIDEN DE PUNT ESTIMATE

 

Cape Town, May 24

A maiden resource of 11.2Mt THM at the De Punt strandlines has lifted insitu heavy mineral at South Africa’s Tormin operation by 57% to 30.8Mt (282.6Mt @ 10.9%) for joint owners Mineral Commodities and empowerment partner Blue Bantry Investments 255.
MRC says the De Punt mineralisation is consistent over the length of the tenement. It sees significant potential for further growth, with only one of De Punt’s seven exploration targets drilled to date.
It says Tormin’s overall resource growth reflects its commitment to expanding mineral resources and reserves through organic growth, seeking to return to historical profitability levels at the high-grade west coast operation.
