New producer WA Kaolin is on track to its first stage 200,000tpa nameplate capacity at its Wickepin project, a potential globally significant resource in the West Australian Wheatbelt region 220km SE of Perth.
WAK’s two-stage development strategy aims to expand production from the high-grade 644.5Mt resource and 30.5Mt kaolinised granite reserve to 400,000tpa.
The company commenced its first deliveries to customers in late 2022, with average FOB prices exceeding company estimates.
